Shalom Group: Forgotten Harvest Tour

A field trip is planned to Forgotten Harvest’s new facility in Oak Park on Saturday, May 17, at
9:30 AM We will carpool from church at 8:40 AM. The guided tour is about an hour long, with
brunch to follow. Please sign up on the kiosk.
More than 500,000 of our neighbors in Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne Counties do not have
enough food to meet their daily needs. Families in the greater Rochester area receive
assistance from Rochester Neighborhood House Food Pantry, but what about thousands of
others in the tri-county area? FORGOTTEN HARVEST supports food pantries, delivers fresh
produce to homebound seniors, and expands mobile markets to reach families in need. With a
farm in Fenton, over 500 donors, 35 trucks, and over 200 agencies working together, they are
able to help relieve food insecurity.
